The annual Chop & Chomp (Beat FSU) Food Drive competition to benefit the Alan and Cathy Hitchcock Field & Fork Pantry begins in November!
Leading up to the big rival game, the Field & Fork Pantry will go head-to-head against the FSU Food for Thought Pantry in a food drive competition to raise awareness of campus food insecurity and help stock pantry shelves.
This food drive is an excellent way for the UF community to impact food security. All donations collected through November 26th will go towards the Field & Fork Pantry's total score. See the point value of various donation items below.
Drop off shelf-stable and non-perishable food to one of the following locations before November 26th:
Monetary donations can be sent directly to the pantry's foundation account below, each dollar donated earns 3 points for UF.
The easiest thing to do is spread the word! Please share it with family, friends, colleagues, or anyone you know who might be interested in participating.
Host a collection site and bring collected items to the pantry between November 1-26th. Please sign-up by Thursday, October 31st.
If your office, organization, or student group would like to plan a food drive, please reach out our Pantry Operations Coordinator Lori Benson (loribenson@ufl.edu) or the Assistant Director of Basic Needs with Campus Assistance & Resources for Empowerment (CARE) Angela Habeck (ahabeck@ufl.edu). We look forward to hearing from you!
